Overview

German  manufacturer, Heckler & Koch (HK),  make the HK G33, a 5.56mm assault rifle developed in the 1960s, primarily for export.

Capitalizing on the success of their G3 design, the company developed a family of small arms (all using the G3 operating principle and basic design concept)

Chambered for 5.56mm, the rifle proved successful in the export market, The HK G33 was adopted by the Brazilian Air Force, the armed forces of Thailand and Malaysia and in turn by the armed forces of over 23 countries throughout the world.

Regarding dates and period correctness, the HK G33 is to be seen from 1965 onwards,  wherever NATO peacekeeping troops were deployed, but also used extensively in Latin America and Africa.

Foxtrot has HK G33’s in both fixed (HK33A2) and sliding stock (HK33A3) options.
