Zoli 12g single barrel shotgun

This item is HIRE ONLY for use by a recognised Film, TV, Commercials or Theatre production company.

Overview

The Zoli family have been gunmakers since the early 1500s. Located in Valtrompia, Brescia, Italy, the business was re-founded in 1945 as Zoli Antonio s.r.l. by Antonio Zoli and produced what became a good sporting range of over/under and side by side shotguns.

They also became noted makers of 3 barrel shotgun/rifle combinations, the quality and precision of which allowed Zoli to compete directly against the famous German and Austrian makers.

Alongside those specialist combination pieces they also produced good quality but more every day ‘working guns’, such as the model seen here.

Helpful Info

Regarding dates and period correctness, this item is appropriate for any shooting or sporting use from the 1960’s onwards.

Foxtrot example shown here is a 12g single barrel shotgun, it has a 28” barrel and is designed, when the action is opened, to allow the barrel to fold right back against the butt.

This used to be known as a ‘poachers style‘ shotgun that allowed for easy concealment.

Film Set Notes

We normally use 12g blanks loaded with black powder that gives a slower burn than smokeless loads, resulting in a bright muzzle flash, accompanied by an amount of smoke.
